ON THE
24th of AUGUST,
we
learnt from UNHCR Headquarters
that
they had requested to various third countries an
urgent priority resettlement
For the
detainees who were previously granted the refugee status.
We wish
to address
VERY BIG
THANKS
TO ALL
THE PEOPLE WHO SIGNED
THE PETITION “MOBILIZE UNHCR”
|
Thanks to your
countersignatures gathered online
or in the streets of
various cities, we have been informing the relevant embassies about
the inhuman detention
conditions of these detainees,
by relaying towards them the letter
“Voices of Detained
Refugees”
êêê GOOD
NEWS êêê
Nanthini,
Raja AND Sana’s families recently left IDC
for Norway
AFTER THEIR RESETTLEMENT WAS ACCEPTED.
We wish
to address
VERY BIG
THANKS
TO
NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT

A “SEND
THEM SOME SUN” campaign in Bordeaux
was a successful means to mobilize many people.

THIS SUN WAS SENT TO BANGKOK,
SHARED IN 2 ENVELOPPES,
ONE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN’
CELL,
THE OTHER ONE FOR MEN’
CELL. UNHAPPILY, THE DETAINEES DIDN’T RECEIVE IT. THE AUTHORITIES WHO
RECEIVED IT PROBABLY LIKED IT TOO MUCH TO GIVE IT TO DETAINEES…
THANKS TO
ALL THE MOBILIZERS AND PARTICIPANTS
|
Thanks
to the mobilization of many people who posed for the Human Rights of these
detainees, a Human Message was created and will be largely publicized and
sent to Thai Authorities
to ask
them to let UNHCR and Embassies have access to the (current) 92 refugees
and asylum seekers imprisoned in IDC
(immigration
detention centre)
THANK
YOU SO MUCH TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
